Use degree complements like 得不得了, 得多, and 得要命 without overusing 很.

verb/adjective + 得 + degree phrase
Describe how far a state or action goes.
他紧张得不得了。
When to use Advanced Degree Complements
Degree complements add a vivid measure after 得. They can intensify adjectives, describe actions, or compare one state to another.
这个版本比原来清楚得多。
This version is much clearer than the original.
今天忙得要命。
Today is terribly busy.
她高兴得说不出话来。
She was so happy she could not speak.
问题复杂得多，需要重新分析。
The problem is much more complex and needs to be analyzed again.
Common traps
- 得 introduces the degree phrase; do not replace it with 的.
- Expressive complements can sound casual or dramatic.
- 得多 usually follows comparisons.
