V都不V and V都没V for “Not Even (Look, Think, Try)”
Repeat a verb around 都不 or 都没 (看都不看, 想都没想) to stress that someone did not even do the smallest, most expected action.

看都不看 = “won’t even look”; 想都没想 = “didn’t even think”. The repeated verb names the smallest step, and saying it didn’t happen makes the point strongly.

When to use V都不V and V都没V for “Not Even (Look, Think, Try)”
In this pattern you say a verb, then 都 (or 也), then 不 or 没, then the same verb again: 看都不看, 想都没想, 动都没动, 问都不问. The verb names the smallest, most natural step, such as looking, thinking, tasting or asking, and the pattern says that even this didn’t happen. That makes the negative much stronger, often with surprise, complaint or admiration. Use 没 for something that did not happen (想都没想 “didn’t even think”), and 不 for refusing or not being willing (看都不看 “won’t even look”). An object goes after the second verb (看都不看我一眼), and a second action often follows with 就: 他想都没想就答应了.
听到这个问题，他想都没想就说出了答案。
When he heard the question, he gave the answer without even thinking.
这本书我买回来以后，翻都没翻过。
Since I bought this book, I haven’t even opened it.
饭菜都凉了，你怎么动都没动？
The food has gone cold. Why haven’t you even touched it?
他连问都没问，就把我的笔拿走了。
He took my pen without even asking.
흔한 실수
- Repeat the same verb on both sides: 看都不看, not 看都不瞧.
- Use 没 for something that didn’t happen and 不 for refusing: 他想都没想 (past), 他看都不看 (won’t look).
- Put the object after the second verb: 看都不看我, not 看我都不看.
