Quando usar advérbios modais 似乎 e 仿佛
Both usually go after the subject and before the verb or adjective. 似乎 means “it seems, apparently”: you make a careful guess from what you see, and it may well be true (他似乎不太高兴). 仿佛 means “as if, as though”: you describe how something feels or looks, often comparing it with something that is not really happening (我仿佛回到了小时候). Both sound more written than 好像.

Erros comuns
- Don’t use 似乎 for things you know for sure: say 他是我哥哥, not 他似乎是我哥哥 about your own brother.
- Say 他很像他爸爸, not 他似乎他爸爸: 似乎 is an adverb and needs a verb or adjective after it.
- In casual chat, say 外面好像下雨了 rather than 外面似乎下雨了: 似乎 and 仿佛 sound bookish when talking to friends.
