Padrão

When to use 无论如何 for “No Matter What” and “In Any Case”
无论如何 is a fixed phrase meaning “however it may be, whatever happens”. It has three common uses. First, before 都/也 + a verb, it makes a promise, decision or demand firm: 你无论如何都要来 “You must come, no matter what.” Second, with 也/都 + a negative, it says something is impossible however hard you try: 无论如何也想不起来 “I just can’t remember, however hard I try.” Third, at the start of a sentence with a comma, it works as a discourse marker meaning “in any case, anyway”: it sets aside the details just discussed and moves to the point that matters most: 无论如何,我们已经尽了最大的努力.
我想了半天,无论如何也想不起他的名字。
I thought for ages but just couldn’t remember his name.
无论如何,我们已经尽了最大的努力。
In any case, we have done our very best.
这件事无论如何要在周五前完成。
This must be finished before Friday, whatever happens.
无论如何,你先回家休息,其他的事明天再说。
Anyway, go home and rest first; we’ll deal with the rest tomorrow.
