When to use 没什么/有什么 + Verb + 头儿 for “Not Worth Doing”
头儿 (said with a light, neutral tone: tour) can turn a one-syllable verb into a noun meaning “something worth doing”: 看头儿 is “something worth seeing”, 听头儿 “something worth hearing”, 玩头儿 “fun to be had”. Put 没什么 in front to say there is not much worth doing: 没什么看头儿 “not really worth watching”. Put 有什么 in front and ask it as a question to say the same thing more strongly: 有什么看头儿? “What’s there to see?” The expected answer is “nothing”.

ข้อผิดพลาดที่พบบ่อย
- 头儿 here has a light, neutral tone (kàn tour). Said with a full second tone, 头儿 (tóur) means “boss”.
- 有什么……头儿 is a question that expects “nothing”. To praise something, drop 什么: 很有看头儿.
- Don’t combine it with 好……的: say 没什么看头儿 or 没什么好看的, not 没什么好看头儿.
