When to use 和 and 跟 for “And/With”
和 joins nouns into one phrase. 跟 often joins a person to an action partner, especially in speech.

Common traps
- 和 is not used to connect two full clauses like English “and” can.
- 跟 plus a person often needs a main action after it.
- Do not confuse 跟 with 很; the tones and roles differ.
