When to use Result with 从而
从而 links an earlier action or condition to a result that follows from it. It is more formal than 因此 and often appears inside one sentence.
提前沟通可以减少误会，从而节省时间。
Communicating in advance can reduce misunderstandings, thereby saving time.
他坚持练习，从而取得了明显进步。
He kept practicing and thereby made clear progress.

Common traps
- 从而 is formal; in casual speech 因此 or 所以 may be simpler.
- The second clause should be a result of the first, not just the next event.
- Do not put 从而 before the original cause.
