When to use 或……，或…… for “Either … Or …” Between Clauses
或……，或…… lists two or more possible actions, each in its own clause with 或 at the front: 遇到不认识的字，或查词典，或问老师 “When you meet a character you don’t know, either look it up or ask the teacher.” The options are usually verb phrases of a similar shape, and the subject is said once before them. The pattern can offer choices (any one will do), or describe how different people or different times vary: 周末，同学们或去图书馆，或去操场 “At the weekend some students go to the library, others to the sports ground.” It is the written, compact form of 或者……，或者…….
周末，同学们或去图书馆看书，或去操场打球，或在宿舍休息。
At the weekend some students read in the library, some play ball on the sports ground and others rest in the dorm.

Errores frecuentes
- In a question asking someone to choose, use 还是: 你喝茶还是喝咖啡？ not 你喝茶或喝咖啡？
- 或 alone sounds written; in conversation say 或者……，或者…… or 要么……要么…….
- Put 或 right before each option and keep the options parallel: 或查词典，或问老师.
