When to use Process Framing with 在...过程中

在...过程中 frames the main clause as happening during a process. It is more formal and process-oriented than 的时候.

在沟通过程中，态度比技巧更重要。

During communication, attitude is more important than technique.

在学习过程中，错误是正常的。

During the learning process, mistakes are normal.

在改革过程中，难免会遇到阻力。

During the reform process, resistance is hard to avoid.

Common traps

  • 过程中 is for an ongoing process, not an instant event.
  • It is more formal than 的时候.
  • The process phrase should be specific enough to orient the reader.
