A 把 sentence cannot end in a bare verb: finish it with a doubled verb (擦一擦, 看了看) or with 了 (卖了, 忘了).
In advanced 把 sentences the subject can be a thing or event (一场大雨把衣服淋湿了), and the object after 把 can be the person who ends up laughing, worrying or tired (这个笑话把大家都逗笑了).
In a 把 sentence, a count or a time length goes after the verb (读了两遍), and a manner word goes after the object, right before the verb (轻轻地关上).
把 + object + 一 + verb shows a quick action that leads to something else, and 把 + object 1 + verb + object 2 adds a second object that is part of or attached to the first.
Use 把 + thing + verb + 给 + person to say you give, hand, lend or return a specific thing to someone: 请把作业交给老师.
Use 看/瞧把你高兴得 or 看你高兴的 to comment, often teasingly, on how a feeling shows on someone.
Handle longer object-fronting and passive sentences with complements.
Pick the right measure word for flat things, pairs, vehicles, lessons, sentences, prices, weights and quarter hours.
Control object-fronting and passive sentences without treating them as decorations.
Practice 把 sentences where the final state or location matters.
Use 把 to say what you do to something: where you put it (放在, 送到) or how it ends up (写完, 关上, 打扫得很干净).
Use 被 to say what happened to something, with or without saying who did it, and use 叫 and 让 for the same idea in casual speech.
