Claude
- In Claude on the web, open Customize → Connectors (or Settings → Connectors), then choose + → Add custom connector.
- Name it HanyuGuide and paste the server URL above. Leave optional OAuth client ID and client secret fields empty, then add the connector.
- Choose Connect. Sign in to HanyuGuide if prompted, review the requested permissions, and select Authorize. You will return to Claude.
- In a conversation, use the + menu → Connectors to enable HanyuGuide. Try asking: “Use HanyuGuide to show my study lists.”
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT on the web and enable Developer mode in Settings. Depending on your account, look under Security and login or Apps → Advanced settings.
- Open Plugins or Apps and choose the option to create a custom app. Name it HanyuGuide, paste the server URL above, and select OAuth authentication. Use dynamic client registration if asked; no client secret is needed.
- Connect the app, sign in to HanyuGuide, and approve the requested permissions. You will return to ChatGPT.
- Start a conversation and select HanyuGuide from the + menu or Developer mode tools. Ask: “Use HanyuGuide to show my study lists.”
Missing the custom connector or Developer mode option? Availability depends on your AI plan and workspace permissions. A workspace administrator may need to enable it. Check the provider’s guide below.
You choose the access.
Sign in on HanyuGuide and review permissions before connecting. Your assistant can read study context and, with your approval and full study access, manage personal lists. These tools cannot change your billing, account preferences, or study progress.
Information returned by the connection is shared with the AI provider you choose. Review proposed list changes before approving them, and disconnect HanyuGuide in your AI app when you no longer want to use it.
Connected, but not working?
Make sure HanyuGuide is enabled in the conversation and mention it in your request. If permission is missing, reconnect and approve list access. If authorization fails, start a fresh connection from your AI app rather than resubmitting an old authorization page.
What about other AI apps?
We’re working to make HanyuGuide available in more AI apps and easier to connect. For now, follow the custom-connection steps above for Claude and ChatGPT; HanyuGuide is not yet listed in ChatGPT’s app directory. We’ll add setup guides for more apps here as we verify each connection.
