常见搭配
了 frequently pairs with 已经 (already) to emphasize completion, as in 我已经吃了 (I've already eaten). It also appears in the structure 太...了 to express excessiveness.
常见错误
Learners often overuse 了 after every past action. In Chinese, 了 is not a past tense marker but an aspect marker for completion or change. Avoid using 了 in negative past sentences with 没.
